Altars Scotland Conference 2026

Three days in Edinburgh to recover the lost art of presence & of place. In partnership with The Church of the City of New York.

The vision

Altars is a prayer and worship conference that exists to equip and encourage Senior Pastors, Church Leaders, and Leadership Teams in Scotland and beyond to contend for spiritual awakening in our time.

We are hungry to see a historic move of God in our day, and long to see the manifest presence of God break into our town, cities, and nations. We invite you to join us for our inaugural Altars Scotland conference.

The people

Speakers

special guest Pastor

Jon Tyson

Jon Tyson is Senior Pastor of Church of The City, New York. Originally from Adelaide, Australia, Jon moved to the US over two decades ago to seek and cultivate renewal in the Western church. He is the author of the best selling books Fighting Shadows,The Intentional Father, and Beautiful Resistance.

Jon has been married to Christy for twenty-five years and has two adult children.

Kenny Borthwick

Kenny Borthwick became a Christian at a Scripture Union Camp on the shores of Loch Earn. On the same day he felt called by God to be a minister in the Church of Scotland, which he has now been for over 40 years.

He has ministered in several different countries over the years at summer gatherings and retreats for leaders, but his heart’s desire is to see God moving by his Holy Spirit in Scotland through all the generations. He is convinced God is doing something fresh in our nation at this time.

Andrea Wigglesworth

Andrea has worked in education, health and church settings. After planting seven counselling centres throughout Scotland she focused on training other counsellors, couple therapists and supervisors. A gifted teacher, counsellor and supervisor, Andrea has a private counselling practice in North Queensferry, Fife, offering therapy to couples, individuals and Life Plan coaching.

Andrea is a wonderfully gifted Bible teacher, and is passionate about seeing people discovering their destiny and becoming all that they were meant to be.

Tommy MacNeil

Tommy has been minister of Martin's Memorial, Stornoway for 20 years. Over that time they have witnessed significant growth, especially through The Shed Project.

He is Convener of the Faith Action programme in The Church of Scotland; lecture's part time in Highland Theological College; and is author of Sleeping Giant - A call to the church to awake and arise. Tommy's passion is that Scotland is known not just because of our revival history, but for what God is doing today.

Worship

Rich & Lydia Dicas

Rich and Lydia have led worship across the British church for years — quiet, undecorated, the kind that doesn't perform but pastors. They will hold the room each session from the first note to the last and lead us deeper into the presence of God.

Martin's Worship Team

With a heart to lead God's people in the priority of seeking the face of God through worship, so we grow in intimacy with Jesus as our first love, Martin's Worship team love God, love serving His people, and love blessing His church.

Easterhouse Worship Team

Easterhouse Baptish Church, Glasgow, are blessed with a team of worship leaders who have a heart to pursue God so people encounter Him. They lead God's people to grow in hunger and thirst for the more that is available to us all.
